Ten years ago, in February 2014, Veterans of VFW Post 6073 and American Legion Post 30 started making plans for obtaining and displaying an Army tank at a planned Veterans Memorial Park on Heroes Drive.  Today, the Veterans Memorial Park of Jackson County is a reality as a result of strong support from the community, local businesses and government, and countless volunteer hours, Envisioned as a place to honor all Veterans, and especially those from Jackson County who gave their lives for our Freedoms, the Park provides an environment for public education and quiet reflection.
